Seems like a conflict of interest to me. Do a search with the words "Chumash Casino cheating" and you'll find a few articles where casino employees had rigged some drawings so that their friends and family would win every month. Cheating happens, especially when gaming is not regulated by a government agency. Just my two cents.

My advice right now is simple, stay away from Indian casinos and Indian gaming reservations.
As I continue to research Indian casinos further and talk to more and more people, the lack of state oversight and regulation is horrifying.
However, I will provide the general consensus.
Casinos in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Biloxi, St.
Such as: slot machines must be set at a minimum payback, usually between 80-85%.
This is where some of the ambiguity sets in for Are indian casino slots regulated gaming.
They only have to answer to the Tribal Gaming Source which is composed of fellow Indians.
Yes, they are self-regulated.
Boy, that really makes me feel confident.
If this are indian casino slots regulated to you, guess who decides your fate, you guessed it the self-regulated Tribal Counsel.
You will not see me at any Indian casinos in the near future unless there is more oversight by the state, and they use Class III Machines.
If you have some information regarding any of this, please let me know because I would really like to get to the bottom of this so people can know the facts BEFORE they make a choice about what casino to play at.
Author wants this to be reblogged and spread around Well, first big surprise is that: Video Poker in Washington State is all Class II, meaning that it is a slot machine, due to how State Law there works.
So, you will see Video Poker machines in the Indian Casinos, but they are slots and no skill is needed to play them.
NOT A VIDEO POKER MACHINE!
THIS IS A SLOT MACHINE!
Tight Machines - Indian Casinos are know to be very tight, having what are euro slots used for low Return Rate for slots and Video Poker.
Skimpy Comps - Indian Casinos are known to be very skimpy when it comes to comps, and cashing out points.
No Advantage Play - Indian Casinos ensure they keep the house edge with a shuffle card deep in the 6 or 8 shoe for Blackjack.
I have also heard that the card shuffling machines are holding up to 10 cards in the hoppers, this will greatly increase house edge.
So, 52 cards goes in the machine but not all 52 are dealt in a game.
No Rights - I personally know players who have been asked to leave the Indian Casino with no reason given.
When asked why, they are told they will get a letter in the mail and not to return.
No follow up letter is ever received and after 6 months no letter or is sent to inform the player they can come back.
It is generally determined by us players that the Indian Casino wants a "cooling down time" when a player is skilled or lucky and is on a winning streak.
Several players I know are furious over this issue.
Some players now don't even use the players card anymore because of the fear of getting the "go away letter" as above.
There is no gaming commission that ensures that the games are fair and aren't tampered with.
Some Indian Casinos are on Tribal Reservations, and you are subjected to all the laws that the Tribe has created.
Most Indian Casinos are on Federal Lands held in trust for the Tribe.
So, even if Cannabis is legal in the State, it is NOT LEGAL on Federal properties are indian casino slots regulated you will be arrested and prosecuted under Federal law for having a controlled substance.
AND, I have talked to a few Indian Casino dealers and employees on and are indian casino slots regulated the casino site who flat out admitted that the players are not getting fair games and no real gambler should play in an Indian Casino.
Now mostly this is about the Slots with the low return rates and table games where the casino can 'cheat'.
OK, there are people who play regularly at the Indian Casinos.
I was one of them.
I don't play nearly as frequently as I use to, but I still go from time to time.
I do talk to the regulars who admit that there is no bankroll growth for them and that there are more down days than up days for them.
Overall they call it 'entertainment' and have given up any notion of using the casino as a source of income.
The answer is Yes and No.
You have to shop around for the casino that offers the games and players club that will give you your best shot at making money.
I can tell you PERSONALLY that Harrah's Cherokee uses "Biased" Dice.
However, There are days wherein you get a "Fair" Game.
I was VERY fortunate to https://socialmedialifestylist.info/are/what-are-the-best-slots-to-play.html them on SEVERAL Occassions wherein they had "Fair" Dice in play.
Luckily, I befriended a Very Knowledgeable Player that taught me what to look for in "Biased" Dice.
It's a little more complicated than that!!!
I won't go into detail, but if you think you can beat Biased dice by Strictly playing the Don'ts, you are in for a Huge Let Down.
Stay away from Cherokee Casino.
I'll continue to play there SPORADICALLY, as I'm still sitting on a Shit load of their Money that they'll NEVER, EVER, get Back!!!
The last comp I received was a Spa Treatment for the wife.
Which she did take advantage of!!!!!

The regulatory scheme for Indian gaming is more complex than a casual reading of the statute might suggest. Although Congress clearly intended regulatory issues to be addressed in Tribal-State compacts, it left a number of key functions in federal hands, including approval authority over compacts, management contracts, and tribal gaming ordinances.

If so, the IGWG will invite representatives from the affected FBI division, other federal agencies if appropriatethe affected United States Attorney's office, and IGWG member agencies to meet and further review the case.

According to Census Bureau data, the inflation-adjusted income of Native Americans living on reservations grew by 83 percent from 1970 to 2000.
Although much of this growth was stimulated by federal support in the 1970s, such support faded in the 1980s and 90s.
According to the U.
Census, 24 percent of American Indian families were living in poverty in 1979.
Ten years later, following the passing of the IGRA, American Indian poverty rates were at 27 percent.
Similarly, the 2010 Census estimated that 26.
In 2011, the Government Accountability Office GAO reported that of over 4 million Native American citizens, nearly 30 percent are living in poverty, often lacking basic infrastructure.
Likewise, Native Americans continue to have the highest unemployment rates of any ethnicity in the U.
According to the earliest report by the Bureau of Indian Affairs in 1982, the unemployment level of American Indians living on or near a reservation was about 31 percent.
In 1987, just prior to the IGRA, unemployment was 38 percent.
By 1989, the year following the enactment of the IGRA, it had increased to 40 percent.
The most recent BIA report from 2005 found American Indian unemployment at a staggering 49 percent.
Census reported unemployment of Native Americans including those living both on and off reservations and Alaskan Natives to be 17.
Chief Justice stated that Native American tribes are "domestic dependent nations under the umbrella of U.
Tribes, state governments, the federal government, and businesses disagree about who should be given regulatory power over the thriving Indian gaming industry.
To understand the issues of gaming regulatory power and sovereignty, both state and tribal rights must be considered.
According to his article titled "Gaming: The Apex of a Long Struggle," states are likely the largest "opponent of Indian nations, their governments, and their new efforts in the gaming world.
Stein argues that Native Americans are still state citizens, regardless of tribal affiliation, and therefore, like any other state citizen should be benefitted by the state.
Because Native Americans are technically part of a state, they are required to pay federal and state income taxes.
The only exception is when an Indian both works and lives on a reservation.
In that case, Indians are exempt from income taxes.
Native Americans are likewise exempt from paying taxes on gaming revenue.
Recognizing that they are missing out on untaxed revenue, states often try to gain more control over Indian can are slot machines rigged remarkable />Individual states have protested their own lack of control over gaming.
Some even cite the tenth amendment — the right for states to have all other powers not specifically designated to the federal government— to fight against gambling.
Others feel the federal government is forcing states to enter into unfair gaming-related compacts with Native American tribes.
A few states, like Utah and Hawaii, do not permit gambling or casinos.
State officials, in general, do not believe Native Americans should be exempt from state laws.
Another reason why states argue they have a right to regulate gaming has to do with negative effects associated with gambling.
Gambling, in general, has been known to lead to "compulsive addiction, increased drug and alcohol abuse, crime, neglect and abuse of children and spouses, and missed work days.
Many believe that because states are forced to deal with the negative consequences of Native American gaming, states should have greater power to regulate the Indian gaming industry.
Native American tribes enjoy a limited status as sovereign nations but are legally considered as "domestic dependent nations" as opined by the Marshall Court in 1829.
Native Americans have always had difficulty finding a source of steady income.
Traditional Native American ways of life had been taken away, and so a new way to be economically independent was needed.
Widespread poverty among Native Americans continues today, nearly two hundred years later.
Gaming is one way to alleviate this poverty and provide economic prosperity and development for Native Americans.
Naomi Mezey, a professor of law and culture at Georgetown, argues that as Native American gaming regulations currently stand, the IGRA fails to provide Indians with economic independence.
The act forces tribes to depend on both federal and state governments.
Many Native Americans give up rights in order to receive government financial assistance.
By redistributing culture and sovereignty, the IGRA has fueled the tribe's long battle from cultural survival and political autonomy.
The controversy and concerns come from the following three main areas: 1 tribal-state compacts 2 negative public reaction, and 3 gambling competition.
Tribal-State Compact is a form of cooperation commonly used in Class III gambling.
These compacts affect the balance of power between states, federal, and tribal governments.
Although the compact must receive final approval from the U.
Secretary of the Interior, the compact demonstrates a state's ability to regulate and even tax Class III tribal gaming within its borders.
In addition, compacts often include language relating to a state's right to enforce criminal and civil law and prosecution for gambling-related crimes.
This right may conflict with tribal law enforcement jurisdictions and legal procedures.
Since enforcement of gambling-related laws requires resources, states make sure to include language in the compact that requires tribes to financially compensate the state for regulation and law enforcement.
As problems often arise because of compacts, the IGRA seeks to carefully define what compacts entail.
Some public voices oppose the current practice of government.
One reason for the opposition comes from the fact that the Bureau of Indian Affairs grants tax-payer money to tribes for economic development purposes.
Some tribes take that money and use it to create casinos and other gaming establishments.
Certain citizens reject the of money are to serve as a of using tax payer money to build tax-exempt tribal casinos which generate tax-exempt revenues.
Another complaint from other U.
They argue that casinos increase the amount of traffic, pollution, and crime.
As a result, cities find themselves paying the cost of dealing with these issues.
Because Indian casinos pose a threat to the Non-Indian casinos, a gambling competition has developed between the two kinds of casinos.
Such high-stakes gambling in tribal areas and tax-exempt policy give Indian casinos great advantages in this competition.
Consequently, Non-Indian casinos have lobbied the government to strengthen the regulatory power of the states toward Indian gaming.
Congress has discussed proposals to impose a moratorium on any new tribal-state compacts or on new Indian gaming operations.
The Indian Trust Lands Reform Act was introduced in 1995 and 1997, marking an attempt to deny the Secretary of Interior the power to take additional lands in trust for Native American are indian casino slots regulated if it were for "commercial" purposes such as gaming.
Several Congressional members have expressed concern about the lack of regulation related to revenue sharing from funds generated by gaming.
It is important to note that the regulations and methods of Indian gaming are still evolving and changing.

I'm planning a trip back East and will be hitting my first Indian Reservation casino, which got me thinking: I know nothing about their history at all!
So, after much research, here's the highlights of what I unearthed.
Please share any Indian gambling experience you have in the comments below!
The phenomenon of Indian reservation gambling began in the '70s when the Seminole tribe in Florida opened a high-stakes bingo operation, which is against Florida law.
The authorities tried to shut the instant-tourist-attraction down and a slew of lawsuits followed.
In 1979, the Supreme Court ruled that the State did not have the right to regulate Indian reservation activities nor could they tax reservation occupants.
In 1987, in the Cabazon Decision, the Supreme Court ruled that as long as a form of gambling is legal in are indian casino slots regulated state where the reservation is located, the state can't regulate activities on the reservation.
This decision led to the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, which requires reservations confer with the state before offering any games that would be played against the casino such as slots or blackjack tables.
If the state refuses to negotiate—as several have—then the Secretary of the Interior works out his own deal, which is always in the favor of the Indian tribe.
Indian reservation gambling generates more income than Atlantic City and Las Vegas combined.
The Mashantucket Pequot Tribe's Foxwoods Resort and Casinos in Connecticut is one of the world's largest casinos.
The resort covers 4.
The resort pays 25% of it slot revenue to the state of Connecticut as part of their deal to allow slot machines.
The second largest Casino in the United States, Mohegan Sun, which is operated by the Mohegan Tribe, is located just a few miles from Foxwoods Resort.
Mohegan Sun sports the world's largest planetarium dome.
In 2005, Mohegan Sun purchased Pocono Downs Racetrack in Pennsylvania and began operating the first slot machine casino in Pennsylvania in 2006.
Tribal Casinos are not always run by the tribe itself, but often by an outside management company.
Harrah's manages Cherokee Casino in North Carolina, the Prairie Band Casino in Kansas and the Ak-Chin Casino in Arizona.
Mohegan Sun is managed by a South African company in conjunction with the tribe.
Donald Trump even tried his hand at running a reservation casino when he owned and managed the Trump 29 casino in California.
It was the first Californian reservation casino to open under a non-Indian name; however Trumps ownership ended in 2006 and it's now called Spotlight 29.
So source does the money go?
Revenues from gaming are required to be used for tribal governmental and charitable ventures only.
The revenues are exempt from federal, state, and local taxes, however there are exceptions.
In the cases where the revenues are divided evenly and then distributed directly to tribal members, the federal government gets a nice cut.
State taxes are often part of the agreements for large scale casinos.
There are 562 recognized tribes in the United States, only about 200 operate full scale casinos.
There are approximately 150 additional tribes seeking recognition.
Many complain that these tribes have no real membership and are only seeking to cash in on the casino business.
Supporters of Native American rights point to centuries old treaties put in place to protect these unrecognized tribes.
The Pequot tribe, which operates Foxwoods, received recognition in the early 1980s, after the last surviving member living on the reservation are indian casino slots regulated and her grandchildren came together to recreate the tribe.
In the mid-nineties, The Coeur D'Alene Tribe in Idaho began the National Indian Lottery on-line.
This was a revolutionary idea at the time.
However, it was met with much opposition and many lawsuits.
The controversy stemmed from defining where the gambling took place—in the state where the gambler was playing or on the reservation where the site was based.
The site was shut down in 1998, but as of November 2009 the Coeur D'Alene tribe was once again drumming up business for their upcoming on-line lottery.
The Navajo's Fire Rock Click at this page has been a hotbed of an unworldly controversy.
After reports of soil from an archeological site being used as landfill for the casino—which goes against Navajo beliefs concerning the dead—and debate over possible uranium in the soil, some started to suspect skinwalker curses!
Skinwalkers are people who practice a form of witchcraft in Native American legends.
The tribal leadership was determined to move forward with the project and in November, 2008, the casino opened to much fanfare.
However, early morning reports surfaced of staff members seeing skinwalkers in the just click for source on opening day.
Navajo Gaming Enterprise CEO Robert Winter assured visitors that the tribe had bestowed many protective blessings upon the casino resort and it's a great place to visit.

Throughout most of history, Western physicians subscribed to the humoral theory, in which human health was governed by four fluids that must be kept in balance.
Sickness was explained as an imbalance of humors, and bloodletting was thought to rebalance the system.
The methods varied, though.
Even as late as the 18th century, bloodletting was still believed to help migraines.

Dead Moles Ali ibn Isa al-Kahhal, the leading ophthalmologist of the medieval Muslim world, described more than 130 eye diseases and treatments in his groundbreaking monograph The Notebook of the Oculists.
While his descriptions of ocular anatomy were sound, he also touched on remedies for headaches, and here his prescriptions seem more suspect.
Electric Fish Long before scientists fully understood the principles of electricity, ancient doctors recommended it as a remedy for migraines.
Scribonius Largus, the court physician for the Roman emperor Claudius, saw that the —also known as the electric ray, native to the Mediterranean Sea among other areas—had the power to shock anyone who touched it.

While the mineral waters were useful for alleviating congestive headaches, mud foot-baths were believed to draw blood toward the feet and away from the head, calming the nervous system.
